Instagram is developing a feature called Social Library. Its function is to save favorite or funny videos on Instagram.
Information regarding this feature was revealed by developer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi. He also shared screenshots regarding Social Library.
From the screenshot, it appears that the Social Library will contain posts, Reels, and shared or received media. Apart from that, this feature will also include content that users like or save, as reported by The Verge on Friday (25/10/2024).

However, there is no further information regarding Social Library, including when this feature will be launched to the public.
Meta, which owns Instagram, has not responded to a request for comment regarding the Social Library feature.
Previously, Paluzzi also reported another new feature on Instagram related to Threads. Users will be able to share Instagram comments as posts in Threads.
Threads is Meta’s new social media platform which is similar to Twitter or X. Connected to Instagram, this platform allows users to create posts in the form of text, photos and videos.
Paluzzi explained that Instagram might launch a way to share comments from Instagram posts to Threads. The screenshot shared shows a dropdown menu that users can select to leave comments only on Instagram or also on Threads.
This report is a new step from Meta to integrate the company’s various platforms. Previously, Threads was also connected to Instagram and Facebook.
