Chief Justice Qazi Faizaisi, while addressing the full court reference in his honor on the last day in the Supreme Court, said that some of our decisions may have been wrong, judging from the writing on the piece of paper.
It should be noted that Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will retire today after serving for more than thirteen months. There was a full court reference on retirement in which 16 judges participated.
Apart from this, 2 ad hoc and 2 Sharia court judges are also participating in the full court reference out of 6 judges. Justice Mansoor Shah and Justice Muneeb Akhtar did not participate in the reference. Besides, Justice Ayesha Malik, Justice Malik Shehzad, Justice Atharmanullah also could not attend.
Chief Justice’s address to the Full Court Reference
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that some decisions may have been wrong by us, we follow the law while hearing cases.
During his speech in Urdu, he said that during his tenure he learned a lot from the bar and the bench and the Registrar never interfered in making the cause list of the Supreme Court.
He said that the daughter complained about the Margalla Hill verdict, many people help you in life, we hear cases, judge from what is written on a piece of paper.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz said that thanks to the former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry who made the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court.
In addition, he said that ‘my wife supported me in every difficult time, my wife has veto power in my life, environment is a very important subject and attention should be paid to it’.

Role played for promotion of democracy, Attorney General
Earlier, Attorney General said that Chief Justice Qazi Faizisa heard important cases, Chief Justice Qazi Faizaisa also heard practice and procedure cases, Chief Justice also heard other important cases including human rights, environment.
Attorney General Farooq H. Naik said that in September last year, the Chief Justice decided to live streaming the cases, and played a role for the promotion of democracy.
He said that the Chief Justice directed the consultation of the stakeholders for the elections, the Judiciary was strengthened during the Chief Justice’s tenure.
Farooq H. Naik said that Chief Justice Qazi Faizisa ensured the timely holding of general elections, Chief Justice Qazi Faizaisa settled the controversial dam fund case, Chief Justice made the institutions accountable in the Faizabad sit-in case.
Designated Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will give a farewell dinner in honor of the outgoing Chief Justice. Nominated Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and other judges will participate in the dinner.
The measures to include the provision of environmental protection in the twenty-sixth constitutional amendment were appreciated. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faizaisi heard ten cases. Four cases were decided while six were adjourned.

Interviewer: You also expressed gratitude towards your family and former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry. How have these relationships influenced your career?
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa: My family has been my pillar of support, especially my wife, who has always provided guidance and strength. I like to jokingly say she has ‘veto power’ in my life! As for Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, he played a crucial role in my career, and I’m thankful for his belief in my abilities. These personal connections have made my journey here all the more meaningful.
