This Sunday, October 20, 354 years have passed since the founding of Carvajalcapital of the San Rafael de Carvajal municipality, for this reason in the morning the Municipal Council held a solemn session with the historian and professor Pedro Frailán as speaker.
The formal events that took place in Plaza Bolívar were presided over by Mayor Wilsson Marín Leal in the company of the first combatant Mariely González; Ana Salas, president and other councilors of the illustrious municipal chamber; Luis Huz, official municipal chronicler; special guests, representatives of the living forces, among others.

Today our great symbol of the city is José Gregorio Hernández who lived as an exemplary citizen and passed on to us. The imminent strength of all times in politics is not the inclination when it is ill-conceived, it makes us. Let us remember that these values are ethics and morals.

We have to realize that we need: A hospital, a fire department, a terminal, here I am going to be a mention related to the stops that our lines in the city of Valera, are in the open and when extreme weather comes from citizens I have the impression that we are in a state of abandonment, we have to do something, I know how but let’s think about it from the city.
I remembered our Blessed José Gregorio, I propose that Airport Avenue be named after him. Looking at the Airport, we have to develop a policy of sense of belonging, to this institution (…) As Carvajal is a path, the Airport is a path to the world through the highways of the air.
I propose that in its parks and squares the silver of cocuizas be planted, it is our symbol of the earth, let us return to our origins! We are estovacuy! From here, a recognition and admiration for our bagpipe, which is an archive of history, and of linguistic heritage, we will listen to it carefully.
