Asunción, IP Agency.- The government of Paraguay, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, delivered a 99 HP tractor, 1 16 x 16 harrow and a furrowing plow to milk and banana producers in the community of Santa Librada – Mil Palos, with an investment of Gs. 500,000,000.
It was during the event chaired by the head of the agricultural portfolio, Carlos Giménez, in the district of Nueva Toledo, in the department of Caaguazú.
On the occasion, he stated that the Government of Paraguay accompanies the people, the working people, and that the presence of the president of the republic, Santiago Peña, becomes visible and present through these deliveries. “What will make us different from other governments is that we come together to work with you, to support you directly on your farms, in your fields,” he highlighted.
Tomato export to Argentina
The head of the MAG also referred to the export of tomatoes to Argentina, highlighting that through the effective efforts of the government of President Santiago Peña, tomatoes are being sent to Argentina, which represents a source of pride for our country.
He stressed that we can be competitive and export our products, because our land is rich and we are hard-working people. He also pointed out that the goal is to achieve a more productive and challenging Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock to export our national production to other countries.
He confirmed that through the Food Program there is a great opportunity to sell everything that is produced to the companies that provide school lunches and on the other hand, he thanked the authorities who work together for the development of the field.
In turn, the municipal mayor of Nueva Toledo, Gilmar Da Silva, reported that 900 families work in the area, who are supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in the production of banana and milk. He also announced that for the month of November, the agricultural portfolio will once again arrive with productive contributions.
