Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said after the approval of the draft constitutional amendments by the National Assembly that the dispute between the judiciary and the parliament has been going on for the past several years, some people have become political, they want to suppress the parliament.

It should be noted that after the approval of the Senate yesterday, all 27 clauses of the 26th Constitutional Amendment have been approved in the National Assembly. After the approval of the National Assembly, the draft will be immediately sent to the President. With the signing of the draft by President Asif Zardari, the twenty-sixth constitutional amendment will become part of the constitution.

While addressing the lower house on this occasion, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that there should be consistency in our attitude, the current constitutional amendment is a step towards this consistency.

He said that the constitution gives total supremacy to the parliament, if you remove the past, then you do not feel shame, nor modesty, judges do not respect the vote, parliament respects the vote.
