The second training on electric vehicle maintenance began

Asunción, IP Agency.- Technical training in maintenance of electric vehicles began, located at the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant, Hernandarias. This course is part of the initiatives of the TASK Technology Center within the framework of cooperation between Paraguay and South Korea to promote electric mobility and the auto parts industry in Paraguayan territory.

A total of 20 professionals, who were previously selected to be part of this program, receive instructions from teachers at Youngnam University in Korea, experts in electric and autonomous vehicles.

This is the second group of specialists, from different parts of the country, benefited from the specialization course. Classes will last until Friday the 25th of the current month. Experts develop an intensive program, designed to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge in electric vehicle technology.

The training is organized by the Itaipu Technology Park – Paraguay (PTI-PY), with the support of Itaipu (through its Sustainable Electric Mobility Advisory) and supported by the Government through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC).

The participants were previously selected by an evaluation committee, made up of representatives of these institutions and the Korea Automotive Technology Institute (Katech).

Tamatiá Colmán, PTI-PY electric mobility advisor, stated that in this second training there are representatives from the academic sector, from companies that sell electric vehicles and from private workshops that seek to venture into the area.

He highlighted that the beneficiaries come from different parts of the country and that the initiative is part of the cooperation for the support project for the Task Auto Parts Technology Center and the Pilot Plan for the Dissemination of Electric Vehicles.

It is planned to carry out this same training next year. In this way, the aim is to promote and enhance the capabilities of the national workforce, specializing them in innovation and electromobility. The objective is to contribute to the development of the national automotive sector.

The TASK Technology Center, located in the Sustainable Electric Mobility Hub (right bank of the Entity), focuses mainly on strengthening the automotive and auto parts industries; through training processes in the use of cutting-edge technologies for the design, manufacturing and assembly of dies, Itaipu reported.
