New troubles for Maria Rosaria Boccia. The entrepreneur, who came under the spotlight for the Sangiuliano case, is being investigated for fraud by the Pisa Prosecutor’s Office “for facts concerning the alleged participation in an entrepreneurial project concerning a property, which took place in 2021”. Prosecutor Teresa Angela Camelio specifies this in a statement released today. The note explains that “there are specific reasons of public interest for the dissemination of this press release, consisting in the fact that the news concerning the possible involvement of Maria Rosaria Boccia in a criminal proceeding attributed to her has already circulated and that the non-uniqueness of the content could be prejudicial to the interested party”.
The proceedings opened by the Pisa Prosecutor’s Office against the businesswoman from Pompeii, involved in the affair that led to the resignation of the former Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, “is in the preliminary investigation phase” and “the subject, therefore, benefits of the presumption of not guilty until the definitive pronouncement of the sentence”. The Prosecutor’s Office also explains that the “invitation to appear for questioning of the suspect and her lawyer” was “notified”. Last week Il Fatto Quotidiano published the news according to which the “failed consultant” was being investigated for crimes against property by the Pisa Prosecutor’s Office, without however specifying the type of charge. The Guardia di Finanza of the Torre Annunziata Group (Naples) delivered the invitation to appear to the businesswoman from Pompeii.
