THE CASE of Gregorius Ronald Tannur, the son of a former member of the DPR, has been in the public spotlight since early 2024.

1. Beginning of the Case: Early Murder of Sera Afriyanti
In mid-2024, Gregorius Ronald Tannur was suspected of being involved in the murder of Dini Sera Afriyanti, his 29-year-old girlfriend.
This case emerged after Dini’s body was found with signs of physical violence.
The forensic report showed that the victim died from serious injuries which were strongly suspected to have been caused by abuse.
Ronald, who at that time was still a suspect, was faced with a series of investigations by the police and was immediately detained to undergo legal proceedings.

After the trial process was underway, in August 2024, the Surabaya District Court decided that Gregorius Ronald Tannur was declared not guilty and acquitted of all charges related to the murder.

On Wednesday, October 23 2024, the Attorney General’s Office arrested the three judges who previously acquitted Ronald, along with a lawyer who was suspected of being involved in the acquittal through the practice of bribery.
This arrest marks an important development in exposing the alleged corruption behind the controversial acquittal.
5. Statement from the Attorney General’s Office
Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah confirmed that the arrest was related to the acceptance of bribes by the three judges and lawyers.
However, the AGO is still keeping the identity of the lawyer involved in this case a secret.
According to Febrie, the AGO will provide more complete information at a press conference on the same day at the AGO Building, South Jakarta.
6. Advanced Process
After this arrest, the three judges and lawyers will undergo further legal proceedings.
The Attorney General’s Office confirmed that it would complete the investigation regarding this bribery case, with the aim of enforcing the law and maintaining the integrity of the justice system in Indonesia.
