PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya or Cinema XXI recorded revenue of IDR 4.3 trillion during the first quarter to the third quarter of 2024. This figure grew 12.1% compared to the same period the previous year. From this income, the net profit after tax reached IDR 529.8 billion, up 36.6% year on year (yoy).
Cinema XXI President Director Suryo Suherman explained that positive performance growth was achieved thanks to the implementation of effective business strategies and always being adaptive to market demand. Apart from that, the company also continues to expand in various regions in Indonesia.
“As performance becomes increasingly solid, the company consistently ensures that the quality of cinema services remains excellent, starting from location, facilities, food and beverage products, as well as other innovations. Cinema 21’s revenue until the third quarter of 2024 is supported by the contribution of cinema ticket sales which has increased in line with “with the company’s commitment to continue to increase the number of cinema screens in line with the increasing public interest in watching films in cinemas in various regions in Indonesia,” said Suryo in his official statement, Wednesday (23/10).
As of September 30 2024, Cinema XXI recorded 66.1 million viewers, this figure increased by 11.8% compared to the same period last year. This increase in the number of viewers pushed revenue from cinema ticket sales to IDR 2.67 trillion, or contributed 63% of total revenue. Meanwhile, revenue from the food and beverage product business line was IDR 1.44 trillion or contributed 34% of total revenue.
With this solid performance achievement, Cinema XXI plans to distribute interim dividends to all company shareholders. The interim dividend is scheduled to be distributed on November 15 2024 with a total value of IDR 416.7 billion or IDR 5/share.
“This interim dividend distribution is a concrete manifestation of the company’s commitment to providing added value for all shareholders,” said Suryo.
To continue to improve the company’s performance, Cinema XXI will continue to expand to various regions in Indonesia. Until the end of September 2024, Cinema XXI has added 42 new screens spread across various regions so that people who previously could not access cinemas in their area. Therefore, as of September 30 2024, the company has operated 249 cinemas with a total of 1,322 screens in 61 cities throughout the country. (Z-11)
