The electrical system has been restored in Havana

At 4:01 p.m., Havana’s Electrical System was restored after several breakdowns that affected the entire country. The Havana Electric Company has reported that, although supply has recovered in most sectors, some specific problems persist.

Identified Faults

To date, the following effects have been identified:

Santa Fe, Playa municipality: Failure in buried cable. Load is being transferred to restore service.

Camagüey and Boyeros, Cerro municipality: Driver left.

Central Havana: Failure in an underground cable that affects Dragones, Manríquez, San Nicolás, Virtudes, San Lázaro and Campanario streets.

Camilo Cienfuegos district, Habana del Este municipality: Failure in buried cable. Work is currently underway on the repair, which affects several buildings.

Complaints Received

The system has registered a total of 20 complaints distributed in the following municipalities:

October 10: 1 complaint.

Plaza: 1 complaint.

Central Havana – Old Havana: 7 complaints.

Eastern Havana: 11 complaints.

The Electric Company has assured that it is working intensively to restore electrical service in the affected areas as soon as possible.
