LIAM Payne, a former member of One Direction, was found to have several types of illegal drugs in his system, including “pink cocaine,” when he died on October 16 at the age of 31. According to sources from ABC News, partial autopsy results show Payne had various substances in his system when he fell from a third-floor balcony at the Hotel CasaSur Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

One of the substances found was “pink cocaine,” a recreational drug that typically contains a combination of methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and not cocaine, the National Capital Poison Center reported. Additionally, an aluminum pipe used to consume drugs was found in Payne’s hotel room.

Before his death, the hotel’s main receptionist called 911 because he was concerned about Payne’s behavior, according to local media reports. In the call, hotel staff said Payne was drunk and suspected he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. They urged that help be sent immediately because there were fears Payne could do something that would endanger his life.

A preliminary autopsy report shows the “Teardrops” singer died from multiple injuries, including internal and external bleeding. The coroner confirmed that the head injuries he suffered were sufficient to cause death as a result of a fall from a height. (People/Z-3)
