Festive News from Liechtenstein: A Royal Wedding Announcement!

Well, well, well! Gather ’round, everyone, and polish your tiaras because there’s a royal wedding on the horizon! Yes, in the summer of 2025, the lovely Princess Marie Caroline of Liechtenstein will be officially snagging herself a husband in what can only be described as a fairy tale rendezvous with none other than Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer. Yes, the last name is quite a mouthful so just remember, it’s Venezuelan, not a bouquet of flowers.

Who is Princess Marie Caroline?

Princess Marie Caroline isn’t just some random royal; she’s the daughter of Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie, and every bit a product of royal genes! With four heirs running around, it’s no wonder that the princess is now 28, practically ancient in royal terms—so get on with it, Marie! Academic pursuits took her from Paris to New York before she decided that London was just too good to leave. Apparently, the hustle and bustle of the fashion industry in London called her name louder than the serene mountains of Liechtenstein ever could. One can only imagine trying on hats at Ascot and then saying, “Nah, I think I’ll opt for a career in fashion.”

In the photo up top, she was just a wee princess, but as an adult, she’s captivated audiences in a very different way—mostly by simply being fabulous! One must ask, does the fashion industry ever have a slow day when you’re rolling with the royals?

Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer: The Man of the Hour

Now, onto the chap who’s actually putting a ring on it: Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer. If his name sounds like a combination of a Venezuelan coffee and a German car, you wouldn’t be wrong! This dashing lad has studied across the pond in England and has dabbled in the financial sector in Paris and New York. So, ladies and gentlemen, he’s not just a pretty face but has the brains to match. He too calls London home; perhaps spotting each other on the Tube was fated? Who knows!

Since 2016, they’ve both been navigating the labyrinth of the London scene, and it seems all roads have led to this delicious wedding announcement. Seriously, can’t you just picture the royal family enjoying a good ol’ British roast dinner after the ceremony? Every royal wedding should have its own roast—and I don’t mean the kind you do on stage!

Mark your calendars for the end of summer 2025, folks! That’s where and when the champagne will be flowing, and let’s hope the bride doesn’t trip up while making her way down the aisle. Let’s face it, it’s royal tradition; someone is always eating cake off the floor.
