He also pointed out that the Fund’s role in supporting countries is primarily to support peoples, and indeed there are observations. Regarding the timing of implementing the Fund’s programme, as Egypt is suffering from great pressure in light of regional influences, geopolitical tensions, stressful situations, inflation and rising prices resulting mainly from regional influences and crises in supply chains, and the impact of this on the Egyptian citizen, and therefore it is necessary to review the timing of the Fund’s requirements at this stage. .

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for reviewing the agreement with the International Monetary Fund, if the program led to pressure on public opinion in a way that people could not bear.

President Sisi said, in statements during his participation in the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development on Sunday, that Egypt implemented an economic reform program in 2016, in which it succeeded with its efforts.

Al-Sisi stated, “The current program is being implemented under very difficult regional and international circumstances. “It has very negative effects on the whole world, and there is a possible economic recession in the next few years.”
