Hirscher comeback? “When I’m ready, I’m ready”

There seems to be only one topic surrounding the start of the World Cup in Sölden: Marcel Hirscher’s comeback. A decision could already be made today as to whether the 35-year-old from Salzburg will attempt his comeback this weekend. The record World Cup winner is planning material tests on the Hintertux Glacier for this Tuesday.

“We’re still working on the material, but certainly not with as much intensity as it used to be. But it’s no longer possible. Whether I go to Sölden or not. When I’m ready, I’m ready. If not, “It’s just something cool to have this freedom,” Hirscher certainly doesn’t want to put any pressure on him.

“Now I take the times I need. No matter what. If ski training isn’t possible that day because things are much more important than blue and red, then that’s it. That wasn’t really possible before.”
