Real Madrid will not give up players for the U-20 World Cup”>Nico Paz: Real Madrid’s Lost Gem – A Transfer Talk Worth Laughing About!
Ah, Real Madrid. The club that has as many blunders in their transfer dealings as I have jokes about my hairline — and trust me, that’s saying something! This time, it involves a certain Nico Paz, a player who seems to have gone from ‘who’s that?’ to ‘why did we let him go?’ faster than you can say “how much do you want for a ticket to the Bernabéu?”
The Rise of Nico Paz
Once a promising lad in La Fabrica, Paz has not just taken off; he’s broken the sound barrier! Under the tutelage of former Barcelona star Cesc Fàbregas at Como, he’s already making waves and even assisted the great Lionel Messi in an Argentine laugher against Bolivia. I mean, when you assist Messi, those are the kind of connections that even my Tinder profile could use!
The Regret
It appears that some folks at Real Madrid are waking up from their slumber and asking, “Did we just give away a premier talent for the price of a used car?” Because, get this: Como secured Paz for a mere 6 million euros — that’s less than what you’d pay for a half-decent striker or a decent bottle of wine in Madrid!
Madrid’s Buyback Option: The Light at the End of the Tunnel?
But fear not, Madridistas! There’s a silver lining to this cloud of regret. Real Madrid reportedly has a buyback option for Paz. It’s like the club saying, “We can sell you, but we might realize we need a bit of that talent back—like ordering too much food and eating it cold later!” Let’s hope it’s not one of those situations where they keep forgetting to pack the talent back into the bag!
La Fabrica’s Drought
However, the really tragic comedy here is that since the likes of Dani Carvajal and Nacho Fernández, La Fabrica hasn’t churned out many more household names. You’d think they’d produce more talent than a reality TV show churns out drama! The question now looms large: Did they miss the boat on granting Paz the chance to shine with the big boys? Or will he end up being one of the many ‘what-if’ stories in football? I mean, surely even the club’s scouts must be shaking their heads thinking, “What were we doing? Watching Netflix instead of attending games?”
Conclusion
In a world where transfer decisions can seem as ridiculous as my attempts at being fit, it’s both fascinating and frustrating to see a young talent like Nico Paz making headlines elsewhere while Real Madrid sits back in regret. And let’s be honest, likely wishing they’d not pulled that trigger too soon on a homegrown player with a golden left foot. Football, like comedy, is all about timing…and Madrid may have just missed theirs! Until next time, keep laughing, and let’s hope our clubs manage to pick the right players, so we don’t have to suffer through too many “if only” jokes!

Real Madrid gave away a homegrown player last transfer summer who took off at his new club. Los Blancos are now said to regret the decision.
Nico Paz has developed from a promising player into one of the most talked about names in international football. At just 20 years old, the left-footer, who plays under Cesc Fàbregas at Como, impressed on his debut for the Argentine national team when he assisted Lionel Messi in the clear win against Bolivia (6-0).
As AS reports, there are quite a few people at Real Madrid who argue that it was a big mistake to let Paz go last summer. Como paid a transfer fee of six million euros, and Paz fitted in excellently with four direct goals in seven Serie A games.
However, Real is said to have not lost access to its own product; according to reports, Los Blancos have a buyback option for an unknown amount. Paz, who was also on the list at BVB, had played in the second team of the Spanish record champions before his departure and only played eight games for the professionals.
At Concha Espina they are now asking themselves whether they missed out on offering a great talent from La Fabrica at least the opportunity to establish himself permanently with the professionals. Since Dani Carvajal and Nacho Fernández, no player from the youth academy has managed to establish himself as a key player in Real Madrid’s first team.
