In the latest WhatsApp update for iOS, the messenger released a new interactive widget for the Home screen specifically focused on facilitating access to your chats. In testing for a few days, the widget is available to some users after updating to version 24.21.81.
If it has already been released to you, the widget can be added to the Home screen using the “Edit” interface (by tapping and holding on an icon). Users can choose between their Recent, Favorites, Pinned or Frequent chats to access them quickly.

WhatsApp has also added support for zoom from 0.5x to 3x with the integrated camera. The release notes also include a new feature announced earlier this month that allows you to mentions in Status.
Not all users will receive these features immediately, so WhatsApp says they will “roll out in the coming weeks.”
