Suspects involved in smuggling and referrals will be dealt with strictly: Caretaker Home Minister

Caretaker Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said that strict action will be taken against the accused involved in smuggling and handiwork. As much as there has been smuggling, it was not on camels but on trucks. Not soft.

While holding a press conference along with the Caretaker Information Minister, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said in response to a question about the involvement of security agencies in smuggling, “You are very right if I say that (security agencies) are involved.” There are not, so it is not appropriate because as much as there was smuggling, it was not on camels, it was on trucks.

He further said that whoever was involved, the Army Chief gave very clear instructions that not only would there be a court martial but those involved in such practices would also be sent to jail.

The caretaker federal minister said that we had less trade and more smuggling in the name of Afghan trade, it is being improved, similarly sugar smuggling was happening, how it has been clubbed with modern technology. .

He said that we have a food securities department, with them we have collected a data of all the provinces, what are the food requirements of our provinces, we have also computerized the provincial borders. It has also established joint check posts for anti-trafficking, primarily in Balochistan, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other places.

Sarfraz Bugti said that there are government agencies including Frontier Corps, Provincial Police, Customs in these check posts, all of them will be at common check posts.

He said that we have to encourage those who are doing legitimate work, and we have to give confidence through you that opportunities will increase for those who are doing legitimate work in Pakistan, those who are not Are doing illegal work, involved in smuggling, referral trade, the state will deal with them very harshly, and no space will be left for them.

He said that during one month we have stopped the smuggling of wheat and raids for stockpiling, we have exported about 2 thousand 200 tons of wheat, similarly 8 thousand tons of sugar have been exported. Apart from this, 4 thousand 300 metric tons of urea has been exported.

Sarfaraz Bugti said that the smuggling of petroleum products had reached the petrol pumps of the federal capital, how it was coming without checking, the most encouraging thing is that 10 thousand 195 liters of POL was caught.

He said that a mechanism has been created in collaboration with Ogra that all the petrol pumps will be regularly raided and checked. If they try to sell substandard oil, strict action will be taken against them.
