The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-member squad for the Under-19 World Cup scheduled in South Africa next year, which will be led by Rohil Nazir.
The Under-19 World Cup will continue from January 17 to February 9 in South Africa, for which Haider Ali has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team.
The Pakistan team is in Group C of the World Cup where they will begin their campaign in the event with a match against Scotland on January 19.
After that, the next match of the Pakistani team will be played against Zimbabwe on January 22 and then the last match of the group will be played against Bangladesh on January 24.
The top two teams from each group will then qualify for the Super League stage while the remaining teams will participate in the Plate Championship.
The top four teams from the Super League stage will qualify for the semi-finals and the winners of the semi-finals will battle it out for the title on February 9.
Head of the Junior Selection Committee Saleem Jaffer congratulated the players who have been included in the Pakistan squad for the Under-19 World Cup and said that fast bowler Naseem Shah, who won a Test cap for Pakistan, has been included in the team.

Hailing from Southern Punjab, Muhammad Shehzad is a batting all-rounder and caught the attention of the selectors by scoring 175 runs and taking 6 wickets in two matches of the recently held U-16 domestic tournament.

Former cricketer Ejaz Ahmed will be the head coach and manager while Rao Iftikhar Anjum will be the bowling coach in the Under-19 World Cup.
