According to new discoveries from WABetaInfoo WhatsApp is testing a new shortcut that lets you create links for video or audio calls in individual or group conversations in the iOS messenger app.
In testing version 24.21.10.79 of the app, available on TestFlight, the new option is in the app’s media addition interface, alongside options for sending photos, location, contacts, documents, etc.
By tapping the corresponding button, another interface allows you to choose whether the link created will be for a video or audio call, as well as having a button to send it to the conversation after creation.

As the website highlighted, the new feature will save users time and actions, as it will no longer be necessary to go to the “Calls” tab to create a link for calls in the application.
Obviously, as it is in the testing phase, it is not known whether the new feature will be implemented in the application in the future. We also don’t yet have a likely general release date.
