iPhone 16 Flooded with Problems, Users Complain of Camera and Screen Errors – CNBC Indonesia

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The iPhone 16 series was officially introduced globally in early September 2024. This cellphone is already available in many countries, but cannot yet be sold in Indonesia due to obstacles in complying with the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) regulations.

About a month after it appeared, many user complaints began to be reported. Especially for the premium series, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

On the online forum Reddit, many iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max users reported that their phones frequently freeze suddenly, especially when using the camera application.

There are also those who report that the iPhone 16 Pro series heats up easily, so the battery is easily drained. Some also complained that their phones suddenly rebooted.

The iOS 18.0.1 release which was released in early October was supposed to fix several bugs that still exist in the iPhone 16 series. However, it seems that the software update has not been able to eradicate all the issues experienced by users, quoted from PhoneArena, Monday (21/10/2024).

“I am very frustrated with this problem. There has been no update that can fix this problem. Now, I have to use a device that doesn’t work without a replacement. Even though I only bought this cellphone 20 days ago,” said one netizen.

“When using the cellphone, the screen suddenly turns black. The boot screen then appears,” said another netizen.

Hopefully Apple will soon fix this problem with the release of iOS 18.1 this month or iOS 18.2 next December. Let’s just wait!

The iPhone 16: Apple’s Latest Overheating Drama!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Brace yourselves, folks! The iPhone 16 series has officially graced the global stage, flaunting its shiny features since early September 2024. But here’s the kicker—while the world has gone gaga, Indonesia is left wondering if this shiny new gadget will ever touch its shores, thanks to the elusive Domestic Content Level regulations. It’s like throwing a party but forgetting to invite the host—awkward, to say the least!

Fast forward about a month, and it seems our beloved iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have decided to join a new club: the Frequent Freezers Club! Oh yes, users are reporting more hiccups than a toddler at a birthday party. Imagine—the camera app freezes more often than my Wi-Fi during a video call with my mother! I mean, who needs a reliable camera when your new phone’s secret talent is becoming an expensive paperweight?

But wait, there’s more! Reports say these fancy pieces of technology have taken up the role of mini heaters—which is brilliant if you’re cold, but not so great if you want to use your phone without it giving you a second-degree burn. It’s like Apple said, “We’ve gone premium—now let’s make sure your phone can double as a space heater!”

Even the latest iOS update, 18.0.1, aimed at fixing these issues has barely managed to work its magic. I mean, Apple is known for great marketing but perhaps they should also invest in some actual functioning software! A disgruntled user quipped, “I’ve got a phone that reboots more than a midlife crisis!” Charming, right?

But let’s not get too carried away. We’ve got complaints piling in like unwashed laundry! Users are reporting black screens, unexpected boot loops—it’s a tech thriller no one signed up for! So, what’s next? An Apple TV series titled “Lost in Reboot”? Let’s cross our fingers for a miracle in iOS 18.1 before the next installment arrives in December. Will it fix the iPhone 16, or will we be stuck scrolling through Reddit threads forever?

In summary, the iPhone 16 series is here—a glittering new toy for the masses, but be careful, it might just stop playing when you need it most…like when you’re trying to capture that once-in-a-lifetime sunset. So here’s hoping Apple’s next update doesn’t just reboot our phones but reboots their entire quality control department. Until then, good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!
