The upcoming Redmi phones will get a fantastic upgrade. We will probably see it here too, but it won’t be right away – World of Android

  • The series should also include models with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
  • Although the phones will be exclusive to China, we will (apparently) see them here too

Xiaomi is preparing to introduce a new generation of its most powerful Redmi smartphones. While official information is still scarce, well-known leaker Digital Chat Station is coming up with the first interesting details about what’s coming Redmi K80.

According to the leak, the base Redmi K80 should be equipped with last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This is not surprising, Xiaomi often uses last year’s flagship chipsets in the base models of this series. More interesting is the information about ultrasonic fingerprint readerwhich would be a significant improvement over the optical one. It would not only offer faster scanning, but also higher security and, above all, it would respond better with wet or not completely clean fingers. Digital Chat Station also mentions that it will get a phone flat displaywhich corresponds to the current trend.

While the base model will have to be content with last year’s chipset, we expect the new one to be used in the Pro and Ultra variants Snapdragon 8 Elitepossibly Dimensions 9400+. These phones will probably reach us almost a year late like the Xiaomi 15T series, if we go by history.

Apparently, we will also have a basic model. Although the Redmi K series has long been exclusive to the Chinese market, in recent years we have seen these models reach global markets under other names. For example, Redmi K70 is sold here as POCO F6 Pro. So it’s quite likely that the Redmi K80 could arrive as POCO F7 Pro.

The question remains how the development of the Redmi K80 series will affect the prices of future Xiaomi 15T models here. While the head of Redmi promises more competitive products, Digital Chat Station warns of possible price increases. If we look at history, we can see a clear trend: the originally “budget” flags become full-fledged top models. Xiaomi 11T Pro started at 15,990 CZK, the current 14T Pro already costs 20,990 CZK. The increase in price is noticeable, but hand in hand with it comes a dramatic improvement in equipment – from better displays to better cameras to more robust water resistance (IP54 vs. IP68).

LIDL is once again selling the fantastic Xiaomi Wi-Fi amplifier. The cheapest one in the Czech Republic has it!

Redmi K80: An Ultrasonic Leap in Fingerprint Technology!

Hold on to your smartphones, folks! Xiaomi’s about to give us a glimpse into the future… or at least a future slightly behind everyone else. The teaser for the new Redmi K80 series has got geeks everywhere (and people who just use their phones to call taxis) buzzing with excitement. And guess what? We’ve got some juicy leaks from the infamous leaker, Digital Chat Station, and they’re serving up some intriguing tidbits that deserve a good roast!

  • The basic Redmi K80 model is supposed to offer an ultrasonic fingerprint reader
  • The series should also include models with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
  • Although the phones will be exclusive to China, we will (apparently) see them here too!

What’s Cooking in Xiaomi’s Kitchen?

First off, let’s talk about the ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Ah yes, remember when we used to swipe our fingers on the screen like we were trying to turn off a pesky alarm clock? Well, this new feature allows for faster scanning and… wait for it… better security. So now you can unlock your phone even with the remnants of your last meal still decorating your fingers! 👏 Just make sure it doesn’t resemble a crime scene.

Of course, us being us, we can’t help but think, “Is this a technological marvel or just a fancy way to say, ‘We don’t trust your hygiene’?” In a world where ‘wet’ fingers are now a sign of advanced technology, we can’t wait to see how they market that. “Introducing the new Redmi K80 – it’s perfect for those rainy days or just… well, when you’ve got sticky fingers!”

Snapdragon Under the Hood!

Now, let’s spill some tea on the chipset. The base Redmi K80 will be rocking last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Because, of course, why use cutting-edge tech when you can take a leisurely stroll down last year’s lane? It’s like serving yesterday’s leftovers but with a trio of seasonings—still tasty but just not quite fresh, right?

Now for the high rollers, there’s talk of a “Pro” and “Ultra” model debuting with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Rumor has it that these will arrive almost a year late—like that friend who shows up at your party just as everyone starts to leave. History tells us that if you’ve seen one flagship, you’ve seen them all… unless, of course, you’ve seen them by Xiaomi, where they rebrand them under various names like magic! Maybe it’ll become the POCO F7 Pro when it finally arrives, just to keep things interesting.

What Will the Price Tag Look Like?

And here comes the real kicker—the price! According to our dear friend Digital Chat Station (no, not an actual train station), while the head honcho at Redmi promises us competitive pricing, we might just be in for a rude awakening. History shows that pricing trends go up like my blood pressure when waiting in line at the DMV. From around 15,990 CZK for the Xiaomi 11T Pro to a whopping 20,990 CZK for the current 14T Pro, it’s safe to say that budget flags have been transformed into fully-fledged top models. Looks like Xiaomi’s prices are attempting to climb Mount Everest—good luck with that!

Of course, as prices soar, so do specs: better displays, cameras, water resistance… It’s like watching your favorite contestant on a reality show—the stakes just keep getting higher!

Final Thoughts

So, would you appreciate a better fingerprint reader on Xiaomi phones? Let us know! With all these exciting features coming our way, we’re just hoping that when the Redmi K80 launches, we won’t need to use our *actual* fingers in a wet stew to get it to work!

Stay tuned, tech lovers! This is shaping up to be one wild ride. And remember, if it’s not *ultrasonic*, is it even *sonic*?
