MOPC extends the deadline for submitting offers for works in the San Lorenzo stream

Asunción, IP Agency.- Companies interested in the execution of the protection and revitalization works of the San Lorenzo stream have until November 1 to present their offers, reported the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).

This project, promoted by the MOPC, seeks to significantly transform the city’s water infrastructure and urban landscape.

Identified as “Called MOPC No. 99/2024”, the project contemplates the construction of a reinforced concrete channel that will extend along 850 meters of the stream, covering the section between Mariscal Estigarribia and Dr. Gaspar Rodríguez de France.

With an estimated investment of G. 40,487,173,963, this initiative’s main objectives are to improve water infrastructure, prevent flooding and recover public spaces and green areas in San Lorenzo.

Transformation of the urban environment

The scope of the works goes beyond water infrastructure. It includes the creation of a linear promenade with safety railings and solar lighting, as well as the renovation of plazas with recreational areas and exercise equipment.

This comprehensive vision seeks to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and generate new recreational spaces for the community.

Additionally, the project incorporates environmental awareness actions through signage that promotes proper waste management and the preservation of the stream environment, currently affected by pollution and irregular occupation of its banks.

This initiative reaffirms the commitment to sustainable urban development and the improvement of living conditions in San Lorenzo, promising to transform both the environment and the daily experience of its inhabitants.
