A jeep caught fire today Sunday (20.10.2024) in the center of Athens at the height of Aiolou street.
Disruption was caused due to the fire shortly after 15:30 in the afternoon in its center of Athens. A jeep, at the junction of Aiolou and Stadiou, was engulfed in flames for an unknown reason.
Firefighters rushed to the scene with two vehicles, while police closed the road until the fire was extinguished.
It should be noted that the road – the current towards the Stadium – remains closed, as the vehicle has not been moved from the spot.
According to newsit, the Fire Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident, however, according to information, the fire was caused by a mechanical failure.
