“We’re not going anywhere”: excluded from the stadium, Swedish supporters resist… for two hours

For once, the Swedish championship was (a lot) talked about this weekend, but unfortunately not for the best reasons. As the season slowly draws to a close, and there are only four days remaining, the team Djurgarden‘s was moving on the lawn of Hammarby this weekend, for a clash at the top between 3rd and 2nd.

Unfortunately for the visitors, there was no real standoff, since Hammarby already led 2-0 at the half-hour mark. With the score still unchanged at the dawn of money time, the Djurgardens supporters went crazy by throwing firecrackers and smoke bombs onto the pitch to express their discontent.

Unsurprisingly, the referee was therefore forced to send the 22 actors temporarily to the locker room. And if the two teams asked to finish this meeting, this was not to the taste of the local authorities who demanded that the match end behind closed doors, therefore without any supporters.

Unfortunately, Hammarby supporters, probably believing that they had done nothing wrong, resisted for more than 2 hours in the stadium, claiming that they “wouldn’t go anywhere.”

The local captain, Nahir Besara was even forced to come out of the locker room to thank his supporters, undoubtedly also trying to convince them to raise their sails.

In short, the match could not be completed, forcing the League and the local police to postpone the last quarter of an hour of the match. This will therefore take place this Monday… behind closed doors!
