Decision to deport all foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan

In the meeting of the Apex Committee on National Action Plan, the final decision has been taken to deport the foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan, the illegally residing foreigners will be obliged to sell their assets and return to their homeland by the expected deadline.

A meeting of the Apex Committee of the National Security Committee was held under the chairmanship of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq, in which Army Chief General Asim Munir, Provincial Chief Ministers, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister and Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister participated.

The participants were briefed on measures to prevent terrorism and action against illegal aliens and various proposals for establishing law and order were reviewed.

In the Apex Committee meeting, taking an important decision regarding illegal foreigners under the National Action Plan, the final decision was taken to deport the foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan.

Sources say that there is a possibility of giving a final deadline for the illegal resident foreigners to be expelled from the country, the illegal resident foreigners will be obliged to sell their assets and return to their country by the expected deadline and upon the expiry of the deadline, the foreigners will be deported and their properties will be confiscated.

According to the sources, Afghan citizens will be able to travel to Pakistan only on legally issued digitized “e-Tazkira” and only Afghans with “Proof of Registration” will be eligible for residence in Pakistan.

Sources said that Afghan citizens with legal visas will also be eligible to travel to Pakistan, while illegal Afghan citizens residing in Pakistan will also have to go to their country by the possible deadline.
