The Mayor of Athens was united in the sacred bonds of marriage on the evening of Saturday 10/19 Haris Doukas with the beloved of Georgia Politanou in the Holy Church of Agios Ioannis Kaloktenis, in Thebes, the place of origin of the bride.

More than 1000 were invited, with the bride’s father and brother, handing her over with all solemnity to the mayor of Athens.
After the sacrament performed by the archbishop Hieronymos, the evening continued in Attica at an event space in Afidnes, where the wedding feast took place.
Present at the wedding were the co-candidates of Haris Doukas for the presidency of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, Pavlos Geroulanos, Anna Diamantopoulou and Nadia Giannakopoulou as well as Kostas Zachariadis.
Among the guests were also Milena Apostolaki and Kostas Skandalides, as well as many PASOK officials.
