The best ÖSV result in Graubünden was achieved by 16-year-old Styrian Hanna Karrer with tenth place, Anna Gasser and David Alaba”>Clemens Millauer came twelfth. They also missed the final in the evening. Gasser traveled to Chur with subdued expectations due to a lack of training for the big kickers. She wasn’t wrong. The 33-year-old fell in both qualifying attempts during a “Backside Double Cork 1080 Melon” and had to settle for 28th place. Since joining the World Cup in November 2016, Gasser had secured a place on the podium in all 18 previous World Cup starts.
“I had to take a risk in qualifying”
“It’s a shame that it didn’t work out, of course, but I had to take risks in qualifying. Normally I can save the 10th place, but unfortunately I fell twice today. But I’m still staying positive because I know what’s going on “And when I do my jumps, I’m at the forefront. Now it’s time to collect a lot of snow days,” said Gasser.
Karrer, on the other hand, was happy about a successful World Cup debut in Big Air. The youth Olympic champion narrowly missed the top 8. “I’m happy about tenth place, which gives me a lot of impetus for the next competitions,” said the young Styrian.
