The event-institution for Patras and Western Greece, with the aim of raising awareness about breast cancer, Pink the City 2024 takes place today for the 12th consecutive year on the streets of Patras.
Pink The City 2024: Patras in pink for a good cause
THE Association of Women with Breast Cancer – “ALMA ZOIS” Achaia Prefecture organizes the established pink walk of life and hope, with the aim of informing, raising awareness and highlighting the enormous value and importance of Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Diagnosis.
The walk started at around 12am from Psilalonia to end up at the Pier of Agios Nikolaos, after crossing Gounari, Riga Feraios and Agios Nikolaos streets.
It was preceded by an opening ceremony with a children’s choir, events, greetings, etc.
With this event, the club’s actions for the month of October, a month internationally dedicated to breast cancer awareness, culminate.
The program was presented by the Honorary Ambassador of Pink the City, Mrs. Christina Lampiri, with simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language by the Talking Hands Greek Sign Language Center, and is as follows:
