Claudia Sheinbaum criticizes arguments against judicial reform

Also this Thursday, Claudia Sheinbaum criticized that the SCJN has accepted the unconstitutionality actions against the reform presented by the PRI and the PAN.

“Political parties do not have the power, except in some electoral cases, to present these resources. And despite this, the Court accepted them,” he noted.

The president assured that the SCJN “should have rejected them, because political parties do not have legal personality to present it.”

“Look how big your contradiction is. […] When the reform is presented, they criticize President López Obrador because they say that the election of judges, magistrates and ministers will be partisan,” he accused.

“So, President López Obrador […] He says, no, the parties have nothing to do with it, this is a decision of the people […] Political parties are prohibited from participating. It is a direct election of the people, without political parties as intermediaries in that process.”
