Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health reports that the Coronel Oviedo Regional Hospital opened its first inclusive dental office, marking an important precedent in oral care in the department of Caaguazú.
This new space is designed to provide pediatric dental care to patients with disabilities, which makes it the sixth inclusive office in operation nationwide.
This inclusive clinic reaffirms the government’s commitment to promoting inclusion and wellbeing in oral health services.
Likewise, it is part of the health portfolio’s efforts to guarantee equitable and quality access to oral health services for all people, regardless of their condition.
The opening ceremony of the inclusive dental office was attended by the director of Oral Health of the Ministry of Health, Fátima Aquino; as well as the person in charge of the management of the Regional Hospital, Carlos Vera and the regional director, Lorena Ocampos. As well as the head of the Regional Oral Health Department, Rocío Ortiz, with the hospital team, who stressed the importance of this advance for the region.
