Employees of territorial communities denounced the Ministry of Interior’s postponement of the “resolution round,” which was expected today, Thursday, to October 31, within the framework of the sectoral dialogue between the union coordination representing employees and the ministry custodian of the sector.

According to union sources, the interests of the Ministry of Interior informed the unions of postponing the “resolution meeting” on the outstanding files that still prevent the signing of the statute for collective employees.

The same sources explained that “the announcement of the postponement was dry and without any reasons explaining the absence of Thursday’s session, which would have discussed the files of degree holders, the increase in wages, and other files about which the ministry has not changed its opinion since the start of the first round of sectoral dialogue.”

In response to this issue, Abdul Latif Khatta, the national secretary of the Democratic Union of Local Communities, revealed that “the Ministry informed the Union of postponing the decision session on Thursday without providing any reasons, as the news was dry.”

Khatta explained that the quadripartite coordination “will now discuss how to prepare for the coming days,” highlighting that “dialogue with the ministry is no longer the only way out of the current tension in the territorial communities sector, and a solution to all the problems raised.”

The same union activist recorded that “this is not the first time” that the sectoral dialogue has been postponed, and the four-part union coordination takes into account this situation only in order to serve the working people,” stressing that “the struggle will continue, and if there are no positive results, we will not bid, we have demands.” essential that must be met.”

The speaker concluded that the collective workers demand a basic system that defines the duties, rights, and professional and job aspects, with the necessity of providing conditions that take into account the rights and gains of the collective employee and achieve motivation.
