Strasbourg surprised with their courage at the Parc des Princes. Attempts to break out of defense through short passing, pressing and attacks with large numbers – all this led to a fun shootout in Paris. But Liam Rosenior’s team failed to qualify for the result, only for the audience award.
But Enrique’s players greatly amused the spectators. Bradley Barkola consolidated his leadership in the goal race (1+1), and Seni Meyul could add at least 3 more goals to his debut goal in Ligue 1. An impressive performance from the 18-year-old graduate, who received a chance in connection with the rotation before the Champions League.
It was Meyulu who robbed his opponent in the build-up opening and hit the post from a distance. But he didn’t get upset for a long time. Meyulyu famously opened up to Barkol’s pass from the left half-flank and fired into the near corner with one touch. Before the break, the teenager could apply for the second one. Asensio pulled out the center back, passed it to Meyulya, who ran in coolly, but he didn’t convert. Although the opening is just top.
PSG increased their lead after the break. Again in a quick attack. Beraldo crossed to Douai, the keeper took Desire’s shot, but Asensio swooped in like a hawk and doubled. Literally 3 minutes later Meyulya made a mistake again. Once again he made a phenomenal opening from deep under Barkol’s cross, but didn’t score from outside the goalkeeper’s area. After another 5, Meyulu crossed for Barkol to make it 3:0, but Bradley was already slow at the goal.
While PSG wasted chance after chance, Mara took advantage of Pacho’s mistake and pulled one back. This angered Barkol – he immediately scored another one, making a cool move in someone else’s penalty area. At this point the game calmed down. To exchange goals once again in the end. PSG famously played a triangle in Petrovic’s penalty area, after which Neves rolled out Lee Kang-In on empty. And already in compensated time, Strasbourg reduced the gap from a corner, avoiding defeat.
