The platform of Stefanos Kasselakis called “Our SYRIZA” is in the air.
With this new site, Mr. Kasselakis insists on his candidacy for the leadership of SYRIZA, despite the Central Committee’s block, stressing that “I am here”.
For his part, Thanasis Theocharopoulos, a member of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA, that the party has no branches and that citizens’ registration is done exclusively through the isyriza.gr platform.
“The party does not have branches, it does not have such logics. There is no party within the party. It is an attempt to create a collateral mechanism. The people of SYRIZA and the Left understand that an absurd conversation cannot continue.”
“We asked Stefanos Kasselakis to go to grassroots elections and he told us no, censure. The Central Committee was reprimanded, it passed, and when it passed, it cannot recognize the result. It questions the rules of the Republic, because in the government and in the parties there is no uncontrolled power”.
Among other things, he said that Stefanos Kasselakis does not respect the collective decisions of the party, while he declared ignorance about the leak of his Pothen Esches.
“Kasselakis has been condemned by the world. At the moment he is breaking rules, insulting the party he wants to be president, sending extrajudicial charges and threatening the party’s organs with prosecutorial authorities. There was terrible tolerance with Kasselakis, who made insulting comments against the party every day and wanted to send it to the courts.”
“Kasselakis did not want to be a candidate, I think he is laying the groundwork for a new movement outside of SYRIZA”, assessed Thanasis Theocharopoulos.
The SYRIZA Congress will take place on November 8-10, while its venue is expected to be announced.
