Four rounds of the Nations League are behind us, full of emotions and, above all, goals. Let’s take a look at the situation of the White and Reds two games before the end of the competition in the group phase.
Poles with one victory in four rounds of the Nations League
The Poles had a great start in the Nations League. After an extremely crazy and unpredictable match at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Michał Probierz’s team won 3-2 against Scotland. Unfortunately, in the next matches it was not so good. Against Croatia, the White and Reds’ offensive was extremely toothless, which resulted in a 0-1 defeat.
The third series of games in our group was initiated by the Croatians, who hosted the Islanders. Although the hosts were very lucky, they ultimately won 2-1, with Andrej Kramarić scoring the key goal. To keep the distance from the leaders, the white and red team had to aim to defeat the Portuguese. However, it was far from that, because at the PGE National Stadium, Cristiano Ronaldo and company won 3:1.
League of Nations. Space match at the National Stadium. An emotional rollercoaster in the competition with Croatia
On Tuesday, fans at PGE Narodowy witnessed a match full of twists and turns and marked by mistakes on both sides. The Poles took the lead in the 5th minute after a goal by Piotr Zieliński. However, they only enjoyed the lead for a quarter of an hour. The next few minutes shook the foundations of the White and Reds’ defense.
After the change of sides, Sebastian Szymański equalized the score, and from the 77th minute the Croatians played weakly, after Dominik Livaković was shown a red card for a brutal foul outside the penalty area on Robert Lewandowski.
After four rounds of the Nations League, the Poles have two defeats, a victory and a draw. They are ahead of the Scots, who won their first point only in the rivalry with Portugal, which ended in a goalless draw.

Poland in the Nations League: A Rollercoaster Ride of Emotions
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the great sporting extravaganza known as the Nations League – a competition so thrilling that even your grandma is secretly glued to the screen. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good emotional rollercoaster? This tournament is full of highs, lows, and more twists than a soap opera plot! Today, we’re diving into the Polish team’s escapades—where victories are as rare as a diet cola at a barbecue.
Poles with One Victory in Four Rounds
So, how did our gallant White and Reds fare? They kicked off with a bang—3-2 against Scotland, which had folks thinking, “Wow, we might actually be good!” However, in true Polish fashion, they followed up with a defeat against Croatia. Nothing says “well done” like being shut out 0-1! Honestly, the Polish offense was so toothless in that match, dentists everywhere must have felt a pang of sympathy.
Fast forward to their next challenge against Portugal, and let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a picnic. Cristiano Ronaldo and his crew waltzed into the PGE National Stadium and left with a 3-1 victory, leaving Polish fans feeling about as uplifted as a deflated balloon. Poor goalkeeping may be a noble art, but it doesn’t help when you’ve got the best players in the world on the opposing side!
League of Nations: An Emotional Affair
Now, let’s chat about that cosmic match at the National Stadium! Imagine the fans, riding high with excitement on a Ferris wheel of hope, only to plummet down as the Polish defense forgot its basic training. The game had everything: goals, drama, and enough mistakes to fill a blooper reel. Piotr Zieliński opened the scoring, and for a glorious 15 minutes, we were legends! Then, well, it was basically a house of cards collapsing under pressure.
In the second half, the game turned into a soap opera—a red card for Dominik Livaković, and the Croatians played like they’d just discovered a new form of yoga. They were attempting to stretch the rules while the White and Reds were trying to stretch their luck, both groups making errors that’d make your daily life choices look responsible.
As it stands, after four rounds, the Polish team sits with a glorious record of one win, two defeats, and a draw. That’s not exactly what we’d call “shooting for the stars,” is it? Even the Scots are probably laughing now, having pocketed their first point. Oh, what a time to be a Polish football fan—it’s all fun and games until the final whistle blows!

Now, if you check the current standings—oh boy, they scream mediocrity! You might want to brace yourself as you look up the table; it’s like climbing Everest but only making it to base camp.
As Aleksander Kwaśniewski wisely pointed out post-match: “Our weakness is coming out.” Well, that’s a sum up of all our hopes and dreams, isn’t it? In the world of football, a little honesty goes a long way, particularly when results have more ups and downs than a ride at the amusement park.
