Asunción, IP Agency.-The Paraguayan soccer team eliminated the albiceleste and reached the final of the South American championship that will be defined with Ecuador.
The redhead qualified on penalties by winning 4 to 3, after tying 2 to 2 in normal time.
The red-haired goalkeeper, Matías Fernández, was the key piece by saving two penalties and giving the pass to the definition for the title of the South American competition.
Paraguay‘s goals in regulation time were from Alan Ledesma, from a penalty, at 27′, and by Mauricio de Carvalho, at 55’.
La Albirroja will face Ecuador in the final, which in the first match also beat Chile in the penalty shootout. The title game will be on Saturday, October 19 at 8:30 p.m.
