The local Health Authority has finally decided that after nearly a year of playing hide and seek with healthcare, it’s time for Dr. Giovanni Maria Cherchi to mount his steed (well, more like a comfy clinic chair) on October 21, 2024.

Flavio Sensi, the General Director of the ASL of Sassari, triumphantly exclaimed, “After Palmadula, we are now also able to open the medical clinic in Bancali!” If that’s not a statement of victory, I don’t know what is. Sassari The Corporate Management of the Local Health Authority of Sassari informs the population that in the 1.1 area of ​​the District of Sassari a new General Practitioner is taking service with a tenured role who, after almost a year of absence, will guarantee the opening of the clinic in the hamlet of Pallets.

«After Palmadula, we are now also able to open the medical clinic in Bancali, a great result for us which rewards the commitment and perseverance of our professionals and rewards the Company’s continuous effort to be widespread in the services provided in the villages and in the municipalities distant from the centers of the larger cities”, explains the General Director of the ASL of Sassari, Flavio Sensi.

This is Dr Giovanni Maria Cherchiwhich will start service on Monday 21 October 2024, in the municipality of Sassari, in the clinics in via Grazia Deledda, n. 139/A, and in Bancali, in the premises of via Bancaleddu.

These are the opening hours to the public:

Monday and Thursday, from 09.00 to 10.00; Tuesday, from 10.00 to 12.00; Wednesday and Friday, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm

Pallets

Monday, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm; Thursday, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm

The Bancali clinic closed at the beginning of 2024, following the retirement of Dr. Paolo Carossino.

From next week, people without a general practitioner will have to choose a doctor by going to the Choice and revocation of a doctor office in the Sassari district at the following times:
