Sunarto promises to improve the welfare of judges”/>
CHAIRMAN of the Supreme Court (MA) for the 2024-2029 period Sunarto said he would improve the welfare of judges and judicial apparatus.
Sunarto believes that judges and officials must be in ideal and optimal conditions in providing services to the community. However, he saw that so far the services provided by judges were not accompanied by adequate welfare.
“The normative requirements in the regulations for judges and officials need to increase. We need to strive for an independent budget. In this way, we can, with an adequate budget, improve the welfare of our judges and officials,” said Sunarto, in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/10).
Sunarto said he could not stand alone to improve the welfare of judges. He admitted that the Supreme Court needed to collaborate with the President and DPR.
“We need to collaborate with other stakeholders, both executive and legislative, so that we can think together about the future progress of the Supreme Court, improving the welfare of judges and court officials,” he stressed. (J-2)
