Harris leads Trump among Latino voters

The Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is positioned as the favorite among Latino voters in seven key states, according to a survey released this Tuesday by the Hispanic Federation and the Latino Victory Foundation.

The data indicates that, in the so-called key states – Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada – Harris has 56% of the support of the Latino vote, while former President Donald Trump only reaches 31%. % in general terms.

Likewise, the results showed that 71% of Latino voters intend to participate in the elections, especially in the states mentioned above.

“Our hope is that with this survey we can reframe the way the power of Latino voters is perceived, both at the national and state levels. However, the most important thing is that we help our own community get to the polls,” said the president of the Hispanic Federation, Frankie Miranda, this Wednesday.

Previous polls had shown Harris’ popularity among the Latino community. In a sample of 1,900 respondents, 60% opted for the Democratic candidate over Trump.

Despite the fact that numerous polls show them virtually tied, Harris’ statements about issues such as the cost of living for the working class and emigration have served to compare the vote between communities such as Latinos and African-Americans.
