The poor economic situation has caused the profits of the German mechanical engineering company Trumpf to collapse: Earnings before interest and taxes fell by 18.6 percent to 500 million euros in the 2023/24 financial year. The bottom line is around 393 million euros, a decrease of 15 percent. Order intake fell by 10.4 percent to 4.6 billion euros, sales fell by 3.6 percent to 5.2 billion euros.

According to company spokeswoman Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, the financial year did not pass Trumpf unscathed due to the worsening economic crisis. Customers have held back on making new investments. Without a savings program, profits would have fallen even more. Savings were made, among other things, on business trips and consulting services, totaling 176 million euros. The target for cuts in the current financial year is 250 million euros.

Trumpf operates worldwide and also operates a location in Pasching, in which, as reported, 40 million euros have been invested in the past two years. 800 employees are employed. Sales were most recently at 434 million euros.
