Biden: We are committed to Israel’s security and protecting it from Iran’s threats

United States – US President Joe Biden said that the United States is “committed to Israel’s security and protecting it from the threats of Iran.”

This came in a letter he sent to Congress regarding the THAAD air defense system that the US government sent to Israel, according to a statement issued by the White House, yesterday, Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Pentagon announced the arrival of the THAAD air defense system, designed to intercept short- and medium-range ballistic missiles at high altitudes, to Israel, accompanied by American soldiers who will supervise its operation.

In his message, Biden touched on Washington’s various military support for Tel Aviv, such as its previous sending to Israel of the aircraft carrier “USS Theodore Roosevelt.”

The American President, whose country provides absolute support to its ally Israel, pointed out that Washington “will continue to maintain its position in the region (the Middle East) to serve its national interests and confront Iran and the threats associated with it.”

Referring to the Iranian missile attacks on Israel in early October, he stated that his country is “committed to Israel’s security and protecting it from Iranian threats.”

Biden explained that the United States “announced its position on defending Israel.”

“In response to Israel’s assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and Hassan Nasrallah and its massacres in Gaza and Lebanon,” Iran fired dozens of missiles at Israel, early this October; This caused human casualties and damage to air bases, while millions of Israelis rushed to shelters.

Following the Iranian retaliatory attack, Netanyahu and Israel’s military and political leaders pledged to “launch a strong and major attack” on Tehran, without specifying a date for that, while some of them called for attacking Iran’s nuclear and oil facilities.
