Asunción, IP Agency.- After the municipal and departmental competitions, the Paraguayan University Games (JUPY) are approaching their final stage with the regional competitions.
These competitions will see the winning universities of the departmental competitions compete by region in order to define the representatives in the national finals, which will be held at the SND Arena in the month of November.
The competition brought together more than 300 teams from 40 public and private universities throughout the country since August, becoming the largest university student party.
Due to their national scope, JUPY are included in the Government’s SUMAR Plan as part of the actions to promote healthy habits and fight against drug abuse. The celebration of the sports event will allow comprehensive collaboration between the actions of the Government strategy and the university institutions.
The JUPY 2024 are an initiative of the Sports Secretariat, the Youth Secretariat (SNJ) and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC).
