GUANAJUATO.- A four year old boy was locked up In a kindergarten classroom, her desperate crying attracted the attention of a neighbor who recorded the incident and uploaded a video to social networks.

The event occurred in the “Cándido Navarro” preschoollocated in the Lomas del Mirador neighborhood, in the Las Joyas industrial estate

Two of his classmates approach the fence and one more walks towards a teacher who appears in the school courtyard, apparently with keys in hand.

The woman who captured the scene asked if the child was punished, without receiving an answer.
The video shared on social networks sparked angry comments and the reaction of the educational authority.

The Secretary of Education of Guanajuatothrough the Regional Delegation III of León, reported that the preventive measure was taken to separating the teacher from the campus of the “Cándido Navarro” Preschool of the afternoon shift, who appears in the video, while investigations are carried out to clarify the facts.

The Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office of the State of Guanajuato has not commented on the matter, unlike on other occasions when it immediately initiates complaint files unofficially.

The SEG reported that the Regional delegation has offered psychological support to the minor involved.

In a statement, the agency reiterated its commitment to act with zero tolerance, full respect for human rights and in the best interests of girls and boys.
