Government delivers more than 350 homes to families from several districts of Caaguazú

Asunción, IP Agency.- The first lady, Leticia Ocampos, and the Minister of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat, Juan Carlos Baruja, presided this Tuesday over the delivery of a total of 358 homes to beneficiaries from various districts of the department of Caaguazú, with the commitment to improve the quality of life of Paraguayan families.

The construction of these homes was promoted by the government, through the National Fund for Social Housing Program (Fonavis) of the Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat, with an investment of G. 36,268,298,335.

The authorities highlighted that this delivery marks an important step towards a better future, bringing more Paraguayans closer to the dream of having their own home.

Of the total number of homes, 33 are for beneficiaries of the Central Commission of the Villa Elsa Social Territory, with an investment of G. 3,122,902,035; while 7 are for families who are members of the Board of Directors of the 20 de Julio Social Territory of the Potrero San Roque neighborhood, for a value of G. 647,592,000.

Likewise, 53 houses were delivered to beneficiaries from the Santory community, in the Repatriation district, with an investment of Gs. 5,422,530,607 and 35, for the Housing Pro-Construction Commission of the Constitución Neighborhood of the Walter Insfrán Colony, for a value of Gs. 3,580,582,775.

Similarly, families from the JE Estigarribia district accessed 30 houses and belong to the Mbya Guaraní indigenous community Km 225, with an investment of G. 3,055,594,112; while 37 are from the Yvu Santa Rita – Mbya Guaraní indigenous community, in the district of Nueva Toledo, for a value of G. 3,785,559,832 and 41 for beneficiaries of the Y’akareta Indigenous Community, in the district of Raúl Arsenio Oviedo.

Another 18 houses were received by members of the Pro Housing Promotion and Development Commission of Santa Rosa del Mbutuy, with an investment of G. 1,838,010,600; 90 in the indigenous community of Arroyo Guazú – Guayayví, in Yhu, worth G. 9,207,212,850 and 14 houses for the indigenous community of Ava Guaraní of Tajy Poty, with an investment of G. 1,432,373,9

Each of the homes delivered consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom; Integrated kitchen, dining room and living room, with a covered external laundry room.

For the indigenous communities, the homes were built respecting the culture and ancestral customs of each town. The constructions were made with ceramic materials of national production, reports the Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat.
