VILLAHERMOSA.- After the appearance on video social networks where criminal groups threaten the governor of Tabasco, Javier May Rodriguezthe president denied that his administration has links to crime.
At least three videos circulated in the last few hours where armed and hooded men ask May Rodriguez resign the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Víctor Hugo Chávez Martínez, because he has ties to a cartel or else the violent events will continue.
“Peace is in your hands. Change that filth who is not loyal to the country and whoever is neutral. Greetings, united people, you are promised total peace. We will give peace to Tabasco,” is heard in one of the recordings.
This Friday in his morning conference, the Tabasco president, Javier May Rodríguez, came out against these accusations, ensuring that your government is attacking crime and has no ties to these criminal groups.
“Las manifestations of violence yesterday are not because the government is on the side of some criminal gang. On the contrary, they are proof that there is no collusion of any kind.
“Our government is not linked to crime. Those who deviate from the path of legality and betray the people are referred to the corresponding process. We act thinking about the safety and tranquility of the population and we will continue like this,” he said.

He said that the manifestations of violence are not due to the absence of authority, but on the contrary, they are because there is presence, action and results of authority. “Coordination between security institutions has been strengthened. And holders and commands have been renewed, to be more precise and effective in the prosecution of crimes and generators of violence.
What happened yesterday are signs of resistance to authority, but authority prevails and will continue with more emphasis,” he highlighted.
