IDOL from South Korea, Seunghan, has decided to permanently leave the boy group RIIZE after undergoing a hiatus for 10 months. This decision was announced two days after the company and he stated that he was ready to return as an idol starting November 2024.

In an official statement uploaded on social media on Sunday evening (13/10/2024), Wizard Production stated that this decision was taken directly by Seunghan. He wants to leave RIIZE for the good of the group’s members and fans.

“Seunghan has consistently expressed his desire to leave the group for the sake of the members and fans. In order to respect the artist’s decision, we announce Seunghan’s departure from RIIZE,” said the management.

The statement, signed by Wizard Production Directors Kim Hyeong-guk and Lee Sang-min, also apologized to fans, or known as BRIIZE, who may have felt confused following the announcement of Seunghan’s return on October 11.

Involved Controversy

Prior to this announcement, Seunghan was already in the spotlight due to various controversies involving him.

When SM Entertainment finally announced Seunghan’s status as a member of the K-Pop group RIIZE, many netizens expressed anger.
