PT Korea Hightech Indonesia, a company that produces conductive pads, foam pads and tape from polyolefin raw materials, received a bonded area facility permit from the Jakarta Customs and Excise Regional Office (Kanwil), Tuesday (08/10). It is known that PT Korea Hightech Indonesia, which is located in Bekasi and is included in the Bekasi Customs and Excise supervision area, markets its products to other countries, such as Poland.

The facility permit was granted one hour after representatives of the company which was founded in 2023 completed the final requirements for fulfilling the bonded zone permit, namely a presentation of the company’s business processes.

“Customs and Excise will continue to strive to provide increasingly easier services while still complying with applicable procedures and requirements, in order to support the progress of the domestic industry,” said Head of the Jakarta Customs and Excise Regional Office, Rusman Hadi.

Rusman explained that a bonded area is a bonded storage area (TPB) for storing imported goods and/or goods originating from other places in the customs area for processing or combining the results for export.

The bonded zone facility is one of the customs facilities provided to industrial companies whose orientation is the production or sale of products intended for export or sale to other bonded zones.

By utilizing bonded zone facilities, PT Korea Hightech Indonesia will gain several benefits, such as time efficiency in shipping goods because they are not subject to physical inspection at temporary storage places (TPS) or ports, ease of fiscal facilities, and assisting government efforts in developing linkage programs between large, medium and small companies.

The convenience of the fiscal facilities in question includes suspension of import duties, no value added tax (VAT) and sales tax on luxury goods (PPnBM).

“A bonded zone is a facility from the government which plays an important role in optimizing the potential of domestic industry for export and import activities. With the bonded zone facility, it is hoped that it can support industrial growth by creating jobs, increasing exports, increasing the country’s foreign exchange and making a positive contribution to the economy around the company,” concluded Rusman.
