The Westbahn will offer additional connections to Germany. The trains will run twice a day from Munich via Augsburg, Günzburg and Ulm to Stuttgart and back. “This will be the first time that there will be a direct daily connection between Vienna and Stuttgart as well as Salzburg and Stuttgart,” said Westbahn managing director Thomas Posch, according to the broadcast.

But the Vienna – Bregenz connection in Germany will also be extended to Lindau, with six train connections per day, Westbahn announced in the broadcast. In addition, new stations are planned in the Rhine Valley or on the Tyrol connection in Jenbach, Innsbruck Westbahnhof and Ims-Pitztal. A pair of trains will also be extended via Salzburg to St. Johann im Pongau.
