NYT Exposé: Hamas Prepared to Attack Three Tel Aviv Skyscrapers

In particular, files from Israeli officials show that there was a plan by Hamas to destroy a skyscraper in Tel Aviv. This is the 70-story Moshe Aviv tower and the Azrieli Mall complex. In fact, Hamas allegedly planned the October 7 attack many years ago. However, it was delaying the execution of its plans because it was trying to convince its partners (including Iran) to participate, as revealed in the previous days.

According to documents leaked by US media, the authenticity of which “cannot be definitively established”, the demolition of a Tel Aviv skyscraper was planned, along with the use of trains, ships and chariots, to carry out a devastating attack on Israel.

Letters from the group to Iranian leaders indicated that Hamas had sought their help in launching the attacks. The Washington Post reported that the documents included a letter written by Hamas chief Yahya Shinwar in 2021 to various senior Iranian officials, asking for financial and military support while promising that with Iran’s help the organization would be able to destroy Israel within two years.

The Post contacted Israeli officials who said they “believed these to be genuine documents.”

US: US officials believe Israel will hit Iran on military and energy infrastructure

American officials believe that Israel has narrowed the targets of its response to Iran’s latest attack on military and energy infrastructure, the American news network NBC reported yesterday, Saturday.

There is no indication that Israel will target nuclear facilities or carry out assassinations, according to the information reported by NBC, which cited unnamed U.S. officials as saying that Israel has not reached any final decisions on how and if when will he retaliate.

US and Israeli officials said a response to Iran could come during the current Yom Kippur holiday season, according to the report.

Israel has repeatedly said it will respond to a missile attack it received this month from Iran.

On October 1, Iran fired some 200 missiles at Israel, in an attack Tehran described as retaliation for the July assassination of the leader of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in Tehran, Ismail Haniya, attributed to Israel, and its leader of the Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah as well as a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards officer, Abbas Nilforoushan, in an Israeli strike near Beirut in late September.
