San Bernardino Summer Employment Plan Launches

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (Mtess) and the Municipality of San Bernardino launched the 2024 Summer Employment Plan, with the aim of facilitating job insertion in times of high demand for qualified labor in the area.

The initiative promotes a series of training actions, labor intermediation, certification of skills and support for entrepreneurs, reported from the Labor portfolio.

“We are seeing great growth in commerce and tourism in San Bernardino, moving some 500,000 people in the high season, and it is necessary to accompany this great urban development with human capacity training,” Minister Mónica Recalde said at the time.

The plan includes a Summer Employment Expo that will take place this October 25 at the headquarters of the Municipality of San Bernardino, to connect job seekers with a hundred job opportunities for the summer season.

It also includes new summer courses to be taught by the National Professional Promotion Service (SNPP). On October 21, the swimming pool maintenance course will begin and later those in gardening, electrician assistant, bartender, international cuisine, waiter, food handling, among others, as announced by the head of the institution.

Meanwhile, through the National Labor Training and Training System, a series of initiatives are already being promoted to certify the skills of workers dedicated to serving tables, tourist guides and other specialties that are in high demand in the area.

Likewise, a strong presence of the Entrepreneur Training Center (CEE), of the Mtess, is expected to provide training and support for formalization to entrepreneurs in the summer town of Cordillera.
