Construction of addiction treatment center advances in Ciudad del Este

Asunción, IP Agency.- The construction of the future “Hogar de Cristo” Treatment Center for People with Addictions, located at kilometer 10 Monday of Ciudad del Este, department of Alto Paraná, presents a physical progress of 60 percent. This social work is financed by Itaipu Binacional.

It is a complex that will have pavilions equipped with bedrooms, an administrative area, a dining room, bathrooms, among other facilities and amenities necessary to provide rehabilitation therapy to people with addictions.

The care work will be accompanied by the Pastoral Care of Prevention, Spirituality and Treatment (Papetra), led by Father Fulgencio Ferreira, reported the Binacional.

To date, the works corresponding to civil items have already been completed, such as concrete and metal structures for the roof; and the placement of thermoacoustic sheets. The work is executed and monitored by the Binational through the Coordination Directorate.

Likewise, the walls present significant progress; sanitary, rainwater, sewage and running water facilities; floor coverings and tiles; in addition to the electrical infrastructure. The venture will be ready in the first half of 2025.

In this way, Itaipu allocates its social investments in favor of the most needy populations in the country, accompanying the Government’s public policies and consolidating itself as the engine of national development with a human face.
